Bilat USA Study visit
FACCE-JPI discusses cooperation with the US Dept. of Agriculture’s National Institute for Food and Agriculture and the National Science Foundation (January 2018). On 30-31 January 2018, the FACCE-JPI Secretariat discussed possible new collaborative activities with the US Department of Agriculture’s National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
These discussions, which took place in Washington D.C., were facilitated by BILAT USA 4.0, a European project that helps expand research collaborations between European and US public funders. The discussions allowed to explore possible linkages between NIFA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative Competitive Grants Programme and NSF’s INFEWS Programme (Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy and Water Systems), on the one hand, and the FACCE-JPI Implementation Plan for 2018-20, on the other.
